About Me

I’m a PhD student, studying melanoma (specifically the BCL-2 family). I did my undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences, got some work experience as a TA in a high school, had a brief stint as a science communications intern and spent a year working as a biology consultant/ research assistant in a bioinformatics lab.

So when I first set up this blog, it was with the intention to help record my scientific ideas surrounding my PhD project.

That never actually happened, cos the heart wants what it wants and apparently my heart just wants to pour itself all over the place. Mostly I write about my struggles with academia, pessimism and anxiety, but sometimes you might actually find some science in here too.

Let’s try this “PhD” thing!IMG_7223
